Spellcraft (a.k.a Spellcraft: Aspects of Valor, Also written as SpellCraft.) is a fantasy strategy game for MS-DOS developed by Asciiware and released by Broderbund in 1992. The game was ported to the SNES and announced at the Winter CES in January 1992; the May 1993 issue of Nintendo Power had it scheduled for release in the fall of that year,[1] but it was cancelled, for reasons unknown. The developers of the SNES version are ASCII Corporation and Ybarra Productions.

Availability

The game's prototype ROM (version "01.10a") was leaked by the BBS scene group Magical in August 1993, before its planned release in the fall. The header information on that ROM was Smash TV, which was burned into the EPROM that originally hosted Smash TV.

Another prototype ROM (version "01.03f") was dumped by Cloud and released by Forest of Illusion on February 4th, 2023.[2] It was an improved and more complete version of the first leaked prototype.
