'Dmtreius96, also known as Shade, was a YouTuber who made fan-made Sonic videos using its character sprites that are used in various video games in the Sonic franchise. Around early 2008, their channel grew in populairty after they posted a video titled "Sonic, Shadow and Silver goes to Japan" garnering 10,000 to 100,000 views around late 2009 to early 2010. After that video, he made other subsequent videos that attracted the masses such as "Amy Moves in" and "Attack of the Amy Clones" which garnered around 500,000 to 1 million views.

Around late 2011 to 2012, the channel announced that they were going to quit video-making for them to focus on college. Their final video he ever uploaded to his channel was called "The Mercenary Part 1" which was uploaded in 2012. Ever since then, the channel has been dormant and inactive.

Their channel would stay up for 12 years until 2020 when YouTube began deleting old dormant and inactive accounts with Dmtrieus96's channel affected by this deletion. Fortunately, some of their videos were able to be recovered, archived & be published.

Availability

Frankly, about 16 of their videos were able to be archived and be uploaded to YouTube as "Dmetrius96 Marathon" and a part 2 of an unknown video that's been archived. However, 89 of his videos have not been found or archived on YouTube or Internet Archive.

There does in fact exist more video clips of Dmetrius96's deleted videos, one of which exists in a YTP.. There are about 63 video titles that been found from the Internet Archive. However, 26 video titles remains lost.
