Soekarno and John F. Kennedy

Status: Lost

In the 1960s, Soekarno, the President of Indonesia at that time, was tried to be overthrown by the CIA because of his closeness to the Soviet Union.

Previously, Soviet KGB intelligence agents had tried to bring down Soekarno by making pornographic films starring Soekarno, because due to him did not want to side with the Soviet Union. The KGB blackmailed Sukarno by filming him with "a flight attendant" during his visit to Moscow in 1960. To discredit his image in front of the Indonesians and foment a revolution against him was a disgrace.

When the Russians confronted him about the sex tape, Sukarno asked to watch it and he seemed pleased. He even asked for additional copies of the sex tape.

Production

When the CIA heard that the Russians were trying to bring Soekarno down with pornographic films, they also did the same as the KGB.

The CIA manipulated photos of Soekarno and a Soviet flight attendant to strengthen his character, the Flamboyant president. The idea for the pornographic video came from a flight attendant who boarded a plane with Sukarno on his way to the Soviet Union.

The CIA reported that Soekarno was involved in a scandal with a flight attendant who was an intelligence agent. The report led to the Indonesian rebellion, which was attributed to Sukarno being blackmailed by Soviet female spies. The CIA eventually produced its own pornographic film, paying actors with face masks similar to Soekarno who were imported from Indonesia.

The film to tarnish Sukarno's image was produced for the CIA by former FBI agents Robert Maheu and Howard Hughes. This film stars Maheu, an actor who looks like Soekarno. However, now the existence of the film is still unclear.
