Elpidio "Pidi" Frani Barzaga Jr. (March 25, 1950 – April 27, 2024) was a Filipino lawyer and politician. He elected municipal mayor of Dasmariñas in 1998 and served for nine years. He was succeeded by his wife Jennifer in 2007.

In 2007, He was announced that they will run for congressman in the 2nd district of Cavite under the Lakas–CMD party thru the Team Unity ticket. A campaign ad was aired locally in the Metro Manila viewing market was also coinciding with his campaign.

Premise

The commercial begins with Pidi himself and rapper Andrew E. appeared with the female group of dancers doing the dance. Andrew E. meanwhile singing the campaign song while doing the activities in the 2nd district of Cavite, including references to its municipalities including Tanza, Dasmariñas, Imus, Carmona, General Trias, Trese Martires and General Mariano Alvarez (GMA). The two boys holding placards saying "MAYOR PIDI CPA NA, LAWER PA!" (transl. "MAYOR PIDI CPA NOW, LAWER!") and "PIDI BARZAGA IBOTO BILANG CONGRESSMAN" (transl. "VOTE PIDI BARZAGA AS CONGRESSMAN"), then a man and woman doing ballroom dancing along with the words "Action Man ng Cavite", the pictures of numerous projects in Cavite's 2nd District (including the successful opening of SM City Dasmariñas, sidewalks, medical projects, and highway projects), a set of images from all municipalities in Cavite's 2nd district, then a entire people walking to support Pidi, then Andrew saying "Come On!" ends the jingle. The jingle it said to look like this:

The commercial ends with the voiceover saying "Pidi Barzaga para Congressman, CPA na, Lawyer pa!" along with the graphic saying "Atty. Pidi Barzaga Ang Ating Congressman 2nd District ng Cavite" is shown.

Availibity

The ad was shown only in the Metro Manila region and it is shown on Eat Bulaga, Wowowee, 24 Oras, TV Patrol World, Bandila and Saksi during the local campaigning period in the 2007 election season.

On April 21, 2024, Daan Garcia found the campaign ad, just 6 days before Barzaga died while in office.
