PBA 25:The Silver Anniversary Special is the 25th-anniversary celebration of the Philippine Basketball Association held at the Araneta Coliseum in Araneta Center, Quezon City on April 9th, 2000. [1] It first aired live on television on the same day over Viva TV on IBC 13.

The Event

The show began with a dance number from Beatnix, VIP Dancers and members from Milo's B.E.S.T. set to the song "Reach", then a musical performance from Jaya and Lani Misalucha singing a medley of songs including "I Believe I Can Fly", and "On the Wings of Love".

The succeeding segments were joined by several people who were on the event. A segment sponsored by Jollibee highlighting the "Jollibee-PBA Silver Memories" exhibit at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall is featured with appearances from the Jollibee mascot, Alan Cadic and Alvin Patrimono. A special award to the founding members of the league were awarded, and the 25 Greatest Players in Philippine Basketball Association History were also announced during the event.

The special event ended with a Thanksgiving prayer led by Bro. Padeem Israel, and Regine Velazquez performing the theme song "Todo Bigay".[2]
