Status: Partially Found

B-MEG is the animal feed brand of the San Miguel Corporation under the San Miguel Foods division, introduced in 1953. In 2002, the brand introduced Derby Ace, its first ever lineup of gamefowl feed products, which was then replaced by the Integra lineup of feeds in 2013. A commercial was made in the same year which is famous for its scene of a chick trembling in fear.

Premise

The commercial begins with a shadow of a crowd of kristos (bet-takers in cockfghting) and bettors followed by a shot of the product on dirt. It is then followed by a montage of the rooster descending to the ground, opening its wings, fighting, various close-up shots, and lastly, a close-up of the rooster's leg armed with a tari (the knife equipped to the rooster). The armed rooster is then placed in front of a chick followed by the scene of the chick trembling in fear. The packaging of the product appears followed by the "Samahang BMEG" logo and the San Miguel Corporation logo which ends the commercial. The commercial had also use sound effects of crowds cheering, as well as the voiceover talking over these scenes. The transcript of the commercial which said to look like this:

Malakas. Matipuno. Makising.
Sa husay ng BMEG Derby Ace Premium Formula, Lahat ay Panabong.
Sisiw?
B-MEG Derby Ace Premium Formula.

In 2003, a revised version was made with the last frame replaces the "Samahang BMEG" logo with the BMEG logo along with the "Angat sa Alaga" slogan and the voiceover saying "Mula sa B-MEG, Angat sa Alaga" (transl. From B-MEG, Angat sa Alaga).

Availability

The commercial was seen on numerous shows such as "Tukaan" and "Ating Alamin" on IBC 13 and Manny Pacquiao fights on Solar Sports, RPN-9, ABS-CBN and GMA 7. On February 3rd, 2024, UndustFixation uploaded the 2003 revision of the commercial[1]. The presumed 2002 version was upload by KutingKutingUltimate1787 on May 9th, 2021[2].
