Description
This Der Zwerg Nase adaptation is very memorable to these viewers who saw it. It was unusual, creepy and almost depressing movie which easily impressed the children (probably they were too scared to watch to the end, because almost no one remembers second part of the movie).
According to user named vilmerok, "Film was shot in the gothic style, in the genre of realism. From the point of view of camera work, makeup, clothes, made very worthy. There are few scenery, only the necessary minimum, but considering that the camera was filming in a narrow, confined space, these decorations were quite enough. It was filmed by cameras on a magnetic tape. The film is television, the image is clear, and the colors are dim, in gray and brown tones, the lighting is diffused, because in the film it's autumn. Throughout the movie the weather was dull. The atmosphere is gothic, unusually heartfelt, with sinking in the inner world of the main character. Presence of fog or haze. Hopelessness and strain, some other feeling that everything happens in a dream, and the desire to move quickly is impossible. Main hero moved awkwardly like slow-mo, as if pressed to the ground. One of the bright memorable scenes: human heads in the witch’s basket were real and bloody with open mouths. The camera showed heads at close range".

Russian researchers were able to establish that no old adaptations of the fairy tale is their desired movie. It's not Zwerg Nase (1978) by Karl-Heinz Bahls and not Zwerg Nase (1953) by Francesco Stefani (edited clips from both movies can be found on YouTube as The Movie, but it's a fake). Neither is soviet teleplay Dwarf Nose (1970) by G.Orlova.
People been trying to find this movie for ages (there's hundreds pages of fruitless discussions) and contact various organizations and people worldwide, but didn't get any result. All leads was a dead-end or a fakes (like rumor about Hungarian Video Club of Horror Fans that presumably have a copy of this film) and some of leads is still open to discuss (like soviet teleplay by Leningrad Television or bulgarian movie that nowhere to be found; or british TV antology which existence is unconfirmed). This movie is NOT listed in IMDB or uploaded on YouTube. People also trying to find something in old soviet programe guides or catalogues of european movies, but they didn't find anything yet.
