Here is a portfolio from Denki, the creator of a lot of these games: https://www.denki.co.uk/portfolio/product-portfolio-2001-2008/ It reveals that their US DirecTV games were made for the "MediaHighway" platform (https://web.archive.org/web/20201029204520/https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/video/mediahighway/index.html), and the UK Sky games were made for the "OpenTV" platform (https://web.archive.org/web/20070206211436/http://www.opentv.com/).
