1 and 0 nly is a 2008 science fiction feature film, directed by Martyn Park, and starring only one actor, Christopher James Baker.

The film premiered at the Lausanne Underground Film Festival, in Lausanne, Switzerland, which was held from October 15-19, 2008. It won an honorable mention prize, according to Park's website, InterludePictures.net, which, at this time, can only be accessed via archive.org. It won a second award in 2009, at that year's Scinema Festival of Science Film, and that same year, actor Baker won the award for Best Actor at the 2009 Fantastic Planet Film Festival.[1]

Plot

According to the Interlude Pictures website (the website documenting Martyn Park films), the film's plot goes as follows:

"Lieutenant Professor Frank James Morley: scientist, environmentalist, genius, lives alone and isolated on an uncharted island 189 nautical miles from the mainland. Within his self-imposed monastic and ritualistic existence, he blindly focuses on what is important - the final stages of his plan to unleash a device that will destroy all human DNA."[2]

Availability

Despite having won two awards, the film hasn't been seen since. It never had an official theatre premiere, and Park's website claims the film was released on DVD on October 23rd, 2010, in Australia and New Zealand, but no copies of the film's alleged release can be tracked down.

Stills from the film can be found, but those can only be accessed through Park's website, which, again, has been archived.[2] There has been no confirmation of a DVD release, nor can the film be found anywhere in its entirety online. The only footage of the film comes from the trailer, which can be found on both IMDb and on YouTube.

On April 24th, 2021, Lost Media Wiki user "Un Don Nadie Aburrido" was able to contact one of the film producers, Glenn Langford. He revealed that the film is stuck for distribution due to contractual agreements between the distribution company and the production company. He also revealed the possibility of not just recuperating the distribution rights late this year, but also distributing it on a streaming platform.

Recently, on September 9th, 2021, director Martyn Park uploaded the entire film on his youtube channel for free, finishing the search.
