Baby Bottleneck (lost scene of Looney Tunes short; 1946)

Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies is a series of shorts that ran from 1930 to 1969. The shorts featured classic characters such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and many more. These shorts would begin airing on TV around the early 1960s and continue to do so to this day. One of these shorts is Baby Bottleneck, a short that involves Daffy and Porky working at a baby factory due to a massive baby boom overworking the storks. They get into hijinks as a result. This short is well-known for its wacky and strong animation at times.

During the cartoon, there is an abrupt cut that occurs during a scene that features a mother pig and a baby alligator. According to Bob Clampett himself, after the alligator was delivered to the mother, the scene featured the mother pig telling the alligator to "Ah, ah, ah, don't touch that dial!". [1] The scene was removed before the short was released.

Availability

Due to the scene being removed before release, it is not available on TV reruns, home media, or streaming at all and isn't available in any of the original prints that exist. It has yet to be found in any type of way.
