For years, the special was lost and barely anyone knew about it until on March 30th, 2020, the original special was found by The Skaro Hunter Society. Skaro found the Betamax tape of the second broadcast that was recorded on March 11, 1982, in Nagasaki by someone under the username Dougo13.  Bumpers of the special were released on home media, though not the whole thing.
