G4's Proving Ground was an experiment show hosted by Ryan Dunn and Jessica Chobot. In each episode, the two would try to recreate fictional works in real life, ranging from Mario Kart to Star Trek.
The series premiered on the G4 network on June 14, 2011. In the wake of Ryan Dunn's death on June 20, the network pulled the next episode and put further premieres on hold until the following month.[1]
Nine episodes were produced and aired, but only three have been recovered in full, while five other episodes have been found partially as clips.[2]
