Kuma no Putaro (クマのプー太郎) is a comedy anime series based on 4-koma manga by Isami Nakagawa that aired from 1995 to 1996. The series was broadcast nationwide on Fuji TV and 24 regional affiliate stations, but from episode 19, it was dropped for nationwide broadcast and switched to broadcast only in the Kanto and Kansai regions. Furthermore, in 1995, due to the Aum Shinrikyo-related news coverage including the Sarin gas attack on the subway, live sports broadcasts, and variety specials, only one or two episodes could be broadcast per month, making it impossible to air the series every week. In North America, the program aired every Sunday during the "Fuji Fun Time" block on the International Channel, a cable TV channel.[1] The series has aired a total of 30 episodes but has never been released on home media, or streaming. Full episodes 1 and 13 and partial episodes 23 and 30 exist online.
