Let's Make A Deal (found unaired pilot of NBC game show; 1963)
Let's Make A Deal is the long-running game show that is also dubbed as "The Marketplace of America". It debuted on NBC on December 30, 1963 and went on to spawn numerous incarnations on ABC, Syndication and CBS. It was created by Monty Hall and Stefan Hatos and was hosted by Hall from 1963 to 1986 than by Bob Hilton in 1990, Hall again from 1990 to 1991, Billy Bush in 2003 and currently by Wayne Brady since 2009. On May 25, 1963, a thirty-seven minute pilot was taped for NBC and was hosted by Hall.
Availability
The pilot was not seen from since it was taped, the only clips of the pilot were featured in the 1977 documentary Deal and a picture from the pilot was shown in the 2 On The Town episode on game shows[2], other than that, nothing else from the pilot had surfaced.
In June 2002[3], rumors started circulating that the pilot has been found by the Game Show Network, this was not confirmed until December 4, 2002[4] when it was announced that the pilot would air as part of Game Show Network's special on Let's Make A Deal (which turned 40 that year). It was uploaded to YouTube by user Chad Mosher on April 16, 2012 and was the first game show to be broadcast on Buzzr on June 1, 2015.[5]
