They are one of the most influential bands of those decades, helping to define the sound of many alternative and indie rock bands to come. Their 1997 album, ''OK Computer'', was, at the time, their most ambitious project. Experimenting with new recording techniques, sound effects, and working with various concepts, it is often considered their masterpiece. The album went in and out of many phases. At one point the album was supposed to have a music video for every track featured. This idea was later on scrapped for financial reasons, but one of the planned music videos, being for the song '''"Let Down"''' winded up being completed. The video has never been released because Yorke thought it was "shite."<ref>[https://radiohead1.tripod.com/songs/album/letdown.htm Page on Radiohead fansite about the song that references the video.] Retrieved 26 Apr '21</ref> The video's producer, Simon Hilton, included the music video for a very short while on his online portfolio, albeit in a very early unfinished form, but it was unlinked of his website. The graphics aren't fully synced up with the music. Radiohead finally explored the concept of music videos for an entire album with their 2003 effort, ''Hail to the Thief''. ==YouTube Blocking of the Video== In June 2016, [Merlin] Beggars blocked the completed music video of ''Let Down'' worldwide. Despite that, the original video can now be found under the original link that is hidden from his website.<ref>[http://www.simonhilton.tv/Directing/Experimental/RHEAD_LD.mov Radiohead ''Let Down'' (is downloadable).] Retrieved 28 Mar '16</ref> A mirror of the said video that has been blocked by [Merlin] Beggars was available on YouTube but sadly has now been removed as of 2019. ==External Link== *[http://www.simonhilton.tv/ Simon Hilton's website.] Retrieved 28 Mar '16 ==Reference== {{reflist}} [[Category:Found media|Let Down]] [[Category:Found music]]
