New Looney Tunes (formerly known as Wabbit during its first season) is an animated Looney Tunes television series from Warner Bros. Animation developed by Erik Kuska. The series aired on Cartoon Network, Boomerang, and Boomerang's SVOD service from 2015 to 2020. It is now preceded by HBO Max's Looney Tunes Cartoons.

Sometime after the series was first announced in March 2014 under the title Wabbit: A Looney Tunes Production, a pilot episode was made and animated by Toon City.[1] The pilot (which was later revamped as the 22nd episode of the series, titled "To Catch a Fairy") showed a slightly different character design for Bugs Bunny, along with different backgrounds. Squeaks' design from the pilot was retained in the series, though he did have a different design that was seen in earlier promotional stills.

Availability

In early 2015, clips from the New Looney Tunes pilot appeared on Boomerang UK's 2015 preview promo, though that promo seems nowhere to be found online as of 2020. The pilot itself has not yet surfaced online in its entirety, and the only remains of it are a few screenshots.
