Cat O' Nine 'Ails is a 1948 animated short produced by Paramount's Famous Studios division. It was directed by Seymour Kneite, with the story written by Carl Meyer and Joe Stultz.

The cartoon appears to be part of the Buzzy the Funny Crow series, as a listing from The Big Cartoon Database explicitly mentions him and an unnamed cat character, presumably an early version of Katnip from their Herman and Katnip series.

The Big Cartoon Database lists the plot as follows: "When Buzzy the crow poses as a doctor, Sam the hypochondriac cat is convinced he has all kinds of diseases."[1] As the cartoon has yet to surface, it is currently unknown whether or not this is the actual plot.

It was fully produced and released to theaters, as it is listed in a copyright catalogue from that year[2] , but all prints of it were either lost/and or destroyed. No copies are known to survive though a 35mm nitrate reel appeared in a UCLA Library listing. It is unknown if they are still in possession of it.[3]
