Perhaps one of the most iconic game shows in television history is "Jeopardy!". While most of the syndicated episodes survive via television archives and home recordings, most the original NBC version of the show has never been seen again after their original airing.

History

The original NBC version was hosted by Art Fleming and first aired on March 30th, 1964, 26 days after the test pilot was filmed to pitch the show, and was a daytime game show. It was announced by Don Pardo.

Availability

Due to many of the infamous wiping practices that were in practice at the time, less than 1% of the series (24 of 2,753) has been archived. it is likely that the rest of the series is lost to time.
