Guys, how do I join the forums? I keep trying, but my email is apparently "invalid" even though it is my real email. Does it not accept Gmail? I'm trying to join because I think I've discovered another piece of media (a lost film script) to hunt for and I think that'd be the right place to call for the search. I know I've hardly edited this wiki and joined mostly to point out the Hotdog TV footage I found, but I genuinely want to let everyone know of something to potentially hunt for (I have zero knowledge on how lost scripts get found). I know y'all are gonna ignore this but it's worth a last resort yelling here I guess. Even if I can't get into the forums at all for whatever reason, can one of you maybe relay the information to there? (I'll tell you all of my info when asked.) My first reply

This is the first time I've ever replied to someone not in the comments and the first time I've edited someone's talk page on LMW, so I hope I'm doing it right. I'm pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis in taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu. I'm interested in your finding. What's it called?

Alright. So, I'm a huge Fraggle Rock fan. I was reading a 2009 article about Wembley by the old Muppet fansite The Muppet Mindset (this one right here: https://muppetmindset.wordpress.com/2009/09/09/weekly-muppet-wednesdays-wembley-fraggle/).

Then, I noticed something mentioned in this article that is really odd.

"In the upcoming Fraggle Rock Movie written and directed by Corey Edwards, Wembley is sure to play a huge role. Tough Pigs’ early review of the script revealed Wembley to have a laugh-out-loud funny moment involving a cell phone (which he keeps as a pet)."

There is no Fraggle Rock movie...

Here is all of the info on this lost script I have figured out so far:

  • A Fraggle Rock movie was in production around 2009.
  • Director was Cory Edwards, who directed Hoodwinked. He mentions the film in the about section of his website. (http://coryedwards.com/?page_id=2) This gives us the generic title Fraggle Rock: The Movie.
  • His Wikipedia page (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cory_Edwards) has this uncited production backstory: "Despite Hoodwinked's mediocre reviews, many people at the Jim Henson Company enjoyed the film. They started to talk with Cory about the possibility of him rewriting the script for the sequel to The Dark Crystal, however instead they agreed that he would write and direct a feature-length version of Fraggle Rock."
  • A script was written so it went beyond concepts.
  • Tough Pigs (a Muppet fansite) read the script "early" without knowledge that they'd be the only ones to read it.
  • Based on other Lost Media Wiki script finds there is a chance that the script is still hiding somewhere.
  • Wembley having a "pet cell phone" is so far out-there weird compared to the rest of the franchise that, even outside the almost 10 years in between this and some other productions, this is 100% a fully cancelled project and not anything that got retooled into something that did see the light of day (e.g. that Ben Folds music video, Rock On, Back to the Rock).

I'd appreciate if you spread the word. TLDR the script for a cancelled Fraggle Rock movie was written around 2009 with Cory Edwards slated as director, and Tough Pigs got to read the script "early", meaning it may be somewhere. AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 01:31, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

My second reply

I mean, I don't know if I'll join the forums because of everything that goes unnoticed, I don't want to waste anyone's time by telling them about this awesome discovery and for some reason, I can't edit the article requests anymore. So, the most I can do is put it on my sandbox. And that's what I'm going to do.

Thanks. AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 02:13, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

Huh, I can't edit that page either. I left a comment though. Turns out it is already on the page requests page, but the citation has nothing to do with what I have found. Instead, it is this article from Screen Rant claiming the film starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt and was not cancelled until 2020. https://screenrant.com/fraggle-rock-joseph-gordon-levitt-movie-cancelled/ AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 02:52, 24 February 2023 (UTC)

If you want updates on this thing, check out what I've put in the comments of the article requests. Tldr: it is not physically lost as someone does have the script, but we'll likely never get to read it due to legal stuff. However, we DO know a lot about the film's plot. My third reply

Well, that's a shame. Hopefully it gets leaked. But it's awesome that we have a lot of knowledge about this. You really put a lot of work into this.
