The Archdiocesan Shrine of Divine Mercy is a shrine located in Maysilo Circle, Mandaluyong City, under the care of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila. In the mid 2000s, the shrine produces their own version of the 3 O' Clock Prayer interstitial, aired on ABC 5 (now TV5), NBN 4, RPN 9 and IBC 13. [1]

Premise

The segment begins with a pan shot of the image of Divine Mercy created by Adolf Hyla, then images of Jesus in his last day are shown, followed by the shot of the Archdiocesan Shrine of Divine Mercy in Mandaluyong is shown. When the opening segment is completed, the another image of the Divine Mercy painted by Robert Skemp is shown while they reciting the prayer along with the sign of the cross at the beginning and at the end. The words "Jesus, King of Mercy, I Trust in You" was changed to simply "Jesus, I Trust in You" is said towards the end of the prayer. The segment ends with a plugging regarding the novena masses in the shrine. The closing plug was said to look like this:

"Join us for novena mass in honor of the Divine Mercy, every Saturday at 3PM, at the Archdiocesan Shrine of Divine Mercy, Maysilo Circle, Boni Avenue, Mandaluyong City. For prayer requests, you may contact Archdiocesan Shrine of Divine Mercy, Archdiocese of Manila at the shrine office: Telephone number 523-1255 or email us at asdmphil@info.com.ph"

An edited version is shown on RPN 9, without intro and ending, but the voiceover saying "Let us pause for a while and pray for peace" is said at the start of that version.

Availability

The segment is usually shown on ABC 5 (now TV5) especially during teleshopping programming from 2001 to 2006, then it is aired during the Nick on ABC block on weekdays, Amerika ATBP on Saturdays, and Ringside TV Boxing on Sundays from 2006 to 2008. It also shown on IBC 13, and RPN 9 (without the opening and ending segments).[2] The prayer replaces the "Three Minutes a Day with Family Rosary Crusade" segment on the former on weekdays which is been aired since 1998, who had been realigned to the morning timeslot. An eyewitness is also claiming this version of the prayer is broadcasted on NBN 4 until the mid-2000s, but was replaced with an version provided by Divine Mercy SLPM.[3] As of now, the interstitial hasn't yet resurfaced on the web.

Trivia

The background music is used throughout the interstitial was "The Ludlows", from the 1994 film Legends of the Fall.
