Armor of Thunder (lost build of cancelled Super Nintendo platform game; 1991)
Armor of Thunder was a game that was developed for the SNES/Super Famicom and was set to be published by Hudson Soft (Not to be confused with Lords of Thunder, also published by Hudson Soft) in 1991. The gaming magazine Gamepro had a small section mentioning the game in it's March 1991 issue, stating that the game was similar to Capcom's Ghouls 'n Ghosts. However, no screenshots were included with the segment.
The game was expected to be released in September of that year, but no game with that name ever released that year. It is unclear when or why the game had been cancelled.
Gameplay
As stated before, the game likely would have been similar to Ghouls 'N Ghosts and it's predecessor Ghosts 'n Goblins, likely being a difficult action-platformer game with a medieval theme to it.
Status
Other than the issue of Gamepro, the game was not covered anywhere else nor has anything from it surfaced. Hudson Soft published a game in 1994 titled Hagane: The Final Conflict which bears a slight resemblance to Ghouls 'n Ghosts, possibly what the game ended up being reworked into. However, because we have no information on who the developers were, this might not be the case.
