Status: Partially Found

Geese is an American post-punk band from New York. It was formed in 2016 by Cameron Winter, Max Bassin, Emily Green, Dominic DiGesu & Foster Hudson. They gained popularity through their acclaimed 2023 album, 3D Country.

Early Projects

The band began to release material in 2018, starting with the EP titled EP, released in April.[1] The songs on the EP would later be featured on the band's debut album A Beautiful Memory which was released later that year.[2] They put out a second EP in 2019, Bottomless Pink Lagoon.[3]

Removal of Early Projects

These three projects were removed from all streaming platforms at an unknown date in 2021 during the leadup to the band's second album, Projector. When asked about the reason for taking down the projects in a Reddit AMA, singer Cameron Winter stated:

"We made that stuff when we were 15/16 years old, so we‘ve grown apart from it a lot and took it down. But we have a policy that if you DM us and ask for the first record by name then we’ll send you the files."[4]

A Beautiful Memory & EP (Found)

It was due to this policy set by the band that A Beautiful Memory & EP became publicly available once again, with reuploads of the material eventually appearing on YouTube and Soundcloud. [5]

Bottomless Pink Lagoon (Partially Found)

Bottomless Pink Lagoon did not resurface as the other two projects did and remains partially lost. The only existing audio of the EP currently available to find online is an Internet Archive capture of the project's Spotify page, where only 30 second snippets of each song are available to listen to.[6]
