If it makes you guys feel any better, the majority of the cancelled episodes (with the exception of the 2-part series finale that was scrapped) are still canon. So the robo parents kicking Zim out of the house, mini moose joining the team, keep continuing to annoy the hell out of zim and dib, GIR turning into a scary dog/robot hybrid monster, all still canon. Because they don’t contradict enter the florpus.
