such a shame

Of all the lost scenes from cinema that I can think of off the top of my head, this is one of the most sought after in my opinion as someone who has respect for extreme cinema. I'd like to imagine we'll eventually find a super rough version of it in due time - even if the quality is poor, garbled, or resembles that of the previously lost estuary footage from Jaws. It's sad knowing that it might not ever resurface, and that it may have been damaged beyond repair when the camera malfunctioned.
