The Karito Kids were a series of dolls launched by Kids GIve back in July 2007. There were six different dolls made in the time they were being produced/sold. These dolls are Wan Ling from China, Pita from Mexico, Gia from Italy, Lulu from Kenya, Zoe from the USA, and Piper from Australia (who was launched as the last doll in July 2008). Theere were two more dolls created in 2010, Lara and Leza, called the "Giving Girls", who were only sold at Sam's Club through December 31st of that same year. The dolls were popular around the time they came out, receiving many articles written about them and television show features due to their unique premise. When buying a Karito Kids doll, 3% of the money paid would go to a global children's charity called Plan International. Furthermore, after purchasing a doll a child could receive a code from either a book that came with the doll or other accessories that would enable them to log onto the Karito Kids website and pick a charity of their choice to contribute to. There were 4 types of charities available to donate to while the site was running; these being growing up healthy, learning, habitat or livelihood. The dolls themselves are not lost, however, the site has been down for years at this point (with a new site using its name currently) and there seems to be no way to access its past content, including its donation function.

Looking up karitokids.com on the Wayback Machine, the earliest date the site can be accessed in January 18th, 2007, before any of the games were uploaded. The second earliest capture redirects users to kidsgive.com, which explains more about Plan International and what kids can do to help using their dolls, but still does not have any games that the final site had. The true karitokids.com site finally opened in early 2008, with games, the donation function, and other interactive content such as blogs by the dolls being featured on the site. However, trying to access these games will now only result in a screen saying that you need to download Flash. Even if you have flash, the site's loading page will play on infinite loop and you will not be able to access anything past it. Based on the Wayback Machine's last capture of the site in July 2014, the original site has been shut down since then and was for sale until sometime between November 2016- November 2017, at which point it was turned into a site dedicated to laser cutting. None of the games or other content seem to exist online in a form other than a few screenshots, as such, it is assumed that all of these elements may be lost.

The only game I can personally remember from the site was one centered around Piper, where you would put together a puzzle of her room while she talked to you about items in it and what they were/why they were special to her. There may have been different difficulty settings and a timer. The only other thing I can remember seeing personally is book previews on the site, which were generally about 5 or so pages long. I have no memory of the other blog posts, games, and charity information other than this.
