According to an animator on the movie, it was 95% done. The entirety of the would be theatrical cut had already made it completely past the storyboard stage.
All they would need to finish is about 5-8 minutes of unfinished animation. Also according to the animator, the film was to be a musical.
I hope we get the Popeye ending where the full, most complete version of the movie gets leaked online. It’s not the film will ever officially come out so… might as well not even bother taking those videos down should this ever happen.
