Escape from Team Fortress (AKA Escape from Team Fortress 2) was an animated series written, produced, and animated by Happy Guillotine Studio and funded by Machinima. Production started in early 2014, and all eight planned episodes were written, produced, and voiced. However, only the first episode was animated before the budget ran out, leaving the series in purgatory.

Plot Synopsis

The series revolves around 3 friends (Gary, Simon, and Alisa) who haven't seen each other in years. They reunite for a game night and end up being transported into Team Fortress 2. Alisa gets captured, so Gary and Simon must join forces with other people who have been sucked into the game to rescue her and return to their normal lives.

Status of Series

On September 26th, 2016, Lost Media Wiki contributor FFeathers was able to contact HLG regarding Escape from Team Fortress who said that they may at some point attempt the crowdfund the animation of the remaining seven episodes and will likely release the first episode soon. They also clarified that contrary to the show's IMDb page, it was never planned to air on television. Recently, the user martinATHF found the reel of the HLG that confirmed the existence of the series.
