Keshikasu-kun (ケシカスくん) is a manga series by Noriyuki Murase that has been serialized in Corocoro Comic since 2004. It is a comedy about Keshikasu, a living eraser who aspires to be the pinnacle of stationery, his owner, a boy named Bōzu, and other living stationery items, including pencil.

This work was aired on morning children's show Oha Suta for TV Tokyo from January 12, 2010 to the end of the same year in a short anime that lasted about 2 minutes per episode. After the end of the same year, no new episodes were produced, but reruns were aired until 2013. It was also aired on Cartoon Network in Japan from July 29, 2013 in five-episode installments, but is no longer being aired.

Keshikasu has male genitalia despite being an eraser, and one of the features of the original manga was that his genitalia were often exposed, torn off, and other vulgar gags. However, in adapting it to the anime, his crotch was restricted, either hidden by an object or by himself, and the word "chinko" (penis) in the original work was changed to another word. The DVD that came with the July 2010 release of the Keshikasu-kun Big Break! Official Fan Book (ケシカスくん 大ブレイク! 公式ファンBOOK) included five previous episodes and an OVA, and that OVA did not include restrictions on Keshikasu's genitalia or dialogue[1].

Availability

Except for the DVD that comes with the fan book, complete episodes of the Keshikasu-kun anime series have not been released on home media at all, nor are they available for streaming. Partially episodes of the Korean dub can be seen online, but the only original video in Japan is promotion for Cartoon Network in Japan and an episode with the Attack on Titan theme song inserted as a MAD movie.
