It is a story in the Police Box (Kōban) "Kameari Koen-mae Hashutsujo" in Katsushika-ku, Tokyo, and is performed by police officer Kankichi Ryōtsu and the people around him.

This work has been animated and is generally known for the 1996 TV series, but it was also animated in 1985.

Overview

Two episodes, "Ryō-san's Punishment" (罰当たり両さんの巻, published in Shōnen Jump 1985 issue 7) and "The Silver Tour" (シルバーツアーの巻, published in Shōnen Jump 1985 issue 22), were animated and screened together with Kimagure Orange Road at the "Weekly Shōnen Jump Special Anime Grand March" (週刊少年ジャンプ・スペシャルアニメ大行進), an event that traveled around Japan from November 1985 to October 1986 to screen anime films.

Episodes plot

"Ryō-san's Punishment" (罰当たり両さんの巻)

One day, an unfamiliar old man entered the police box. The old man was in fact a wizard, who had heard of Ryōtsu's bad reputation and had come to punish him. The magic turns Ryōtsu into a child, and even changes his size into a miniature one. Ryōtsu, however, still shows no remorse, and is finally turned into a fly that hangs around in dung...

"The Silver Tour" (シルバーツアーの巻)

For the Keirōkai, who had been swindled out of their travel expenses by a scam, Ryōtsu planned a false tour, falsely claiming Enoshima as Hawaii. The tour somehow ended, but the cost was the same as the actual trip to Hawaii. The swindler were caught and the money returned, but Ryōtsu did not know that...
