LittleBigPlanet PSP (found German "SpongeBob SquarePants" commercial; 2009)
SpongeBob LittleBigPlanet PSP Commercial (also known as SpongeBob PSP Commercial) refers to a commercial featuring the character SpongeBob playing the game LittleBigPlanet on the PSP.
Background
On November 28, 2009, all four Viacom channels hosted a 24-hour SpongeBob Squarepants marathon called “Think Happy Day”. Comedy Central, being one of the channels, devoted itself to the wildest, most absurd, and well-known rumors of the show named “Captain’s Secrets”. Some of the rumors that were from these selected episodes were:
- The rumor that SpongeBob is already around the age of 20.
- The rumor that SpongeBob sat down on a photocopier without pants on at a company party (inferring that he might have photocopied his bottom).
- The rumor that Sandy is in a witness protection program.
- The rumor that Mr. Krabs is taking drugs.
- The rumor that SpongeBob is gay and transvestite.
YouTube user JANTista999 posted a video from one of the commercials on the same day “Captain's Secrets” aired, where at the 29-second mark, a one-second clip of the commercial can be seen. The PSP model seen in the commercial specifically is a PSP 1000.[1][2]
It was not known whether the commercial is promoting the PSP console itself or the game LittleBigPlanet. A possible theory was that the special was airing SpongeBob-related bumpers and interstitials, making the commercials mostly SpongeBob-related, as the YouTube video was uploaded on the same day that "Captain's Secrets" aired.
Availability
Not much was known about the commercial outside of the aforementioned one-second of footage from a poor cut and information on its day of airing.
It was widely believed that JANTista999 has the whole recording of the commercial, but the channel has not been active since 2009, leaving it unlikely that the full recording would be posted.
However, a comment was made by tundil4 that claims they were one of the people who saw the commercial and it was a short bumper with SpongeBob saying:
"The Think Happy Day is brought to you by Little Big Planet"
When someone replied asking how long the commercial was, Tundil4 said it was 5 seconds long.

On November 21st, 2023, YouTube User Lazulee uploaded the full 8-second-long commercial that was found from an MTV commercial compilation on the Internet Archive uploaded by user Gizocaie on the same day.
