Lonely’s Flexed Up Slow Jams is the name of Rapper Destroy Lonely first EP. This was released in 2016 but hasn't resurface since.

Background

Destroy Lonely, real name Bobby Wardell Sandimanie III, is a American rapper from Altana. In 2015, he started rapping under the name "SlimAU" .He started making music when his friend (and fellow rapper) Nezzus gave him a laptop so he could produce his music. Around the same time he decided to change his rap name to "Nascar Lonely!" and this is where he dropped his first EP named Lonely’s Flexed Up Slow Jams. Fast forward to 2019 and this is where his single "Bane" will gain him some underground buzz[1]. This buzz will grab the eye of famous rapper and owner of the record label Opuim, PlayBoiCarti. In March of 2023, he would drop his biggest song (as of 5/18/24) as it would appear in the famous game "NBA2K24"[2]. The reason he added the "Destroy" part to his name is because he felt like drugs were destroying him.

Recording

Circling back to 2016, "Nascar Lonely!" and his at the time record label Gorgeous Records would drop "Lonely’s Flexed Up Slow Jams". This EP had only 3 songs, with the starting title song being "TOKYO DRIFT [VRY FYE VRY MUMBLE]". It was also produced by RondoCheek according to the genius.com page on this EP[3]. It is not known how the Record Label heard of "Nascar Lonely!".

Availability

The only known availability of this EP is a screenshot from the Instagram account (aka his label) Gorgeous Records[4]. Destroy lonely would private his old SoundCloud account, "Nascar Lonely!". He would also confirm this EP in a interview with the legend Nardwuar. It's super unlikely that this EP would ever be found as it seems like the Instagram page of the record label is dead and abandoned.
