The Pilot
In 2005 a pilot of "Monster Buster Club" was developed to show the series to TV executives. This pilot episode featured distinct 3D character models and notably lacked the presence of Sam within the team. An intriguing image from this pilot was initially unveiled at the Mipcom event in 2006 by Marathon, offering a glimpse into the series' early development. On March 4th, 2024, Lost Media Wiki user Sunella managed to find the full poster of the main character's pilot appearance along with an ad for the show showing the old logo as well as the co-producers.[1]
On August 4th, 2007, Jean-Louis Vandestoc, the director of the series, revealed in a blog post that a high-definition video of the pilot was accessible on the official Monster Buster Club website. This exclusive content was accessible before the series made its official debut on TF1.[2] Additionally, another image from Marathon's website depicted Cathy's appearance as it was in the pilot version of the show.[3]
Discovery
On August 30th, 2024, LMW user Sunella discovered the full pitch pilot on Franck Vibert's website, being the 3rd animation on the slideshow.[1]
