The altercation

On July 9th , 2022 , Notti Osama was in East Harlem , particularly at the 137th Street-City College train station , with some of his buddies where he spotted an opp gang member named KdotKeepClickin , real name being Kelvin Martinez , who is from "the heights on 70's (700 block)" and reps 700. Once Kdot realized that he could've been killed during this fight , he pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed Notti Osama in the abdomen. Notti then knocked Kdot onto the subway tracks and also suffered a wound caused by a sharp object apparently brought onto him by one of Notti's friends. Notti then dropped on the subway platform and Kdot escaped the subway. Notti was then taken to a hospital but at that point it was too late and then he died at the hospital , later that day , after the situation Kdot's mother brought him into the detectives. [1]

What caused Notti and Kdot to beef?

Notti was known for robbing , jumping and assaulting Kdot before the incident occurred , Notti did this with fellow OY gang members and Kdot was a known opp gang member to the OY gang.

The Aftermath

When news broke out , Kdot was initially charged with 2nd degree murder by NYC authorities but prosecutors were then able to charge him with manslaughter instead[1].[2] Prosecutors state that they were paying more attention to the fact that it was a self defense act. He went on to make a song dedicated to Notti Osama and continues to dedicate all of his work to him.

Notti boppin'

Notti boppin' was a dance created by a rival group to Notti Osama known as "41" , 41 isn't a gang , but rather a group of rappers. The dance was created to disrespect Notti Osama's death by reenacting the way he died , the dance involves you punching your hips in a repeating motion , in the same area Notti Osama was stabbed on that day. The dance was first seen in the song by 41 sharing the same name. This is one of the most popular NYC "Drill rap" songs of all time , the same genre Notti Osama was making music of. The song goes down as one of the most disrespectful disses , the song itself features plenty of rappers from the 41 group and samples a song from popular kids Nickelodeon show "The Backyardigans" called "Castaways"
