ROSE BLOOD ~Chi no Kawaki~ is a Japanese eroge visual novel developed by Aaru and originally released for the PC-98 on September 13th, 1996. A Windows port was released in 1997 and additional rereleases followed in 2004 and 2007.
On January 28th, 2011, a video uploaded by YouTuber VNCollector showcased a previously unknown English version of ROSE BLOOD.[1] The video description makes no mention of whether this was an official or fan translation. Comments asking where VNCollector obtained this version went unanswered.
On September 12th, 2012, a thread was posted by Sakamoto on the visual novel fansite Fuwanovel inquiring if anyone was aware of this English version of ROSE BLOOD. User dfallengod confirmed the existence of the English translation and he himself had played it, but no longer had the game files and didn't remember where he originally got them, the only detail he recalled being its small file size (10 to 20 mbs).[2]A thread on VNDB discussing the potential existence of an English version of ROSE BLOOD was started a few months later.[3]
As of October 2024, no new information on the English translation of ROSE BLOOD has surfaced, the only proof of its existence being VNCollector's original video.
