The Terebikko console and VHS.

Status: Partially Lost

Terebikko is an interactive VHS video game released by Bandai in 1988. In the United States, it was released by Mattel in 1989 as See 'n Say Video Phone. The game was aimed primarily at young children, and a dedicated VHS based on popular anime series and characters was released.

Overview

The console is in the shape of a telephone, with red, green, blue, and yellow buttons numbered 1 through 4. The special VHS has a built-in audio signal, and when the signal is sent out during the quiz scene, the console receives an incoming call and the TV voice is vocalized from the handset.

In 1994, a cordless version Terebikko Codeless, was released and a dedicated VHS for it, but most were re-releases of the original Terebikko dedicated ones with cordless compatibility.
