The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour was a cartoon series that aired on ABC from September 11th, 1976 to December 18th, 1976 and was created by Joe Ruby & Ken Spears (who created Scooby-Doo Where Are You? in 1969). The hour long show consists of segments of featuring the cast of Scooby-Doo (in the character's first appearance since The New Scooby-Doo Movies in 1973) and Dynomutt Dog Wonder and The Blue Falcon. Shortly before its end, the show was expanded to 90 minutes and reruns of Scooby-Doo Where Are You? were included. The series is similar to another series from Rudy and Spears, Saturday Supercade that aired on CBS from 1983 to 1985, which was a compilation of various cartoon shorts based on popular video games.

The introduction for the series would feature various scenes animated just for the intro (some scenes include Dynomutt and the Blue Falcon going after criminals and Scooby-Doo running from various monsters) and would not been seen in any of the segments. The theme from the intro (along with the animated scenes) would be reused in the series' respective segments with different lyrics depending on the segment.

The segments shown in the series would see a home media release[1] and would get reran on Cartoon Network and Boomerang[2] and are still seen in several countries today. But the intro for the series has never been seen since the last time the show aired on December 18, 1976. Rumors state that the masters for the intro still exist in the archives at Warner Brothers, but they never bothered to find it for the home media release in 2006[3], these rumors have not been confirmed or if the masters even still exist. On September 23, 2010, YouTube user SufferingFoolsMusic uploaded a reconstruction of the intro. The reconstruction consisted of a low-quality recording of the intro from 1976 and stills of Scooby and Dynomutt placed over the recording. The show's logo isn't even seen in the recording. On August 5, 2021, seven minutes of various interstitial materials for the show from a 16mm film reel was uploaded by user The Projectionist and a still of the show's logo was among the materials shown. According to the description of the upload, the reel along with another reel for the show (which may contain the lost intro) were sold at separate auctions. With the revelation that a 16mm reel containing the intro is still in existence, it's possibly that it may surface online one day, but for now the 2010 reconstruction is the closet thing there is to having the intro found.
