In his decades of research, German-born philosopher and political economist Karl Marx filled a number of notebooks with writings pertaining to his thoughts on the development of technology. The current whereabouts of the original notebooks are unknown. The texts themselves remain unpublished besides a book of excerpts transcribed by Hans-Peter Müller in 1981.
