What Will The Neighbours Say? (found unreleased tracks from Girls Aloud album; 2004)
What Will The Neighbours Say? is a 2004 album by the British-Irish girl group Girls Aloud. Upon its initial release, the album was critically acclaimed and a best-seller, going double platinum in both Britain and Ireland, all the while producing the fan favourites ‘Love Machine’ and ‘Jump’.[1]
For its 20th anniversary, it was re-released with improved production, all the while being released on vinyl for the first time. On top of this, it included previously unreleased tracks, including ‘Disco Bunny’, ‘Baby When You Go’ and a cover of Chris Issak’s 1989 song ‘Wicked Game’. The cover had intended to be released as a single for their 2005 album Chemistry (even being advertised on their website as such) before it was replaced with ‘Long Hot Summer’.[2]
The reasons for their previous unreleased status remain unclear. The release would also mark the first time vocals from the late member Sarah Harding would be heard on new material since the compilation album Ten was released in 2012.
