Monster Buster Club is a French/Canadian children's science fiction television series by the French-based company Marathon Production and the Canadian animation studio Image Entertainment Corporation. The show debuted on June 2, 2008, on Jetix in Europe, June 9, 2008, in the United States and Asia on May 3, 2008. It premiered on YTV in Canada. This show is about three kids and an alien girl, who are all charged with saving their town from alien invasions. They reform a secret organization that was founded centuries ago called the Monster Buster Club, often abbreviated to MBC. The goal of the MBC is to locate alien criminals seeking refuge in Single Town, capture them, and send them to galactic authorities.

Episode Plot

The 27th episode of season 2 (29th in the UK) called The New Recruits was aired on February 9, 2008, on Jetix and later on Disney XD. The episode shows that Cathy turns 700 on Earth and gets excited and hopes that there will be a party. That evening, the MBC Members are trying to bust a monster, but it escapes because of Danny and Sam.

The next day, two new recruits arrive, and they quickly befriend Chris and Cathy, leaving Danny and Sam jealous. After failing to capture yet another alien, the Commander sends the MBC some help in the form of the robotic D-34 and S-2. These new recruits are programmed not to rest until every threat is eliminated. They seem to get along great with everyone, except Sam and Danny, who feel replaced. The MBC Members (minus Cathy) and the recruits soon learn about a surprise party which will be thrown for Cathy from Hugo. Later, Danny and Sam realize the recruits are attempting to replace them, so they find a way to let Chris and Cathy realize the truth before it was too late.

Availability

Multiple airings had occurred before the show was officially ended in 2009. The episode itself is rare and is hard to find, despite the episode having been aired frequently. Screenshots of the episode along with the transcript were leaked.

In October 2016, Dasboy managed to find the full episode dubbed in Romanian. Finally, in June 2018, two more copies of the full episodes were found on Youtube; Russian dubbed, and the original English dubbed.
