Crash Landed (also known as I am Crash Bandicoot) is a cancelled game for PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. The Wii, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game got developed by Radical Entertainment while the DS version was developed by Renegade Kid. Despite the development of the game starting in 2009, it was cancelled when Activision decided to lay off the entire development team behind the game and Radical instead made Prototype 2. Renegade Kid's version was also cancelled as well.[1]

Story

Crash and the Bandicoot.

After being mutated by Cortex, Crash would have gotten entangled with the task of rescuing his fellow bandicoots. Unlike Crash, these Bandicoots weren't evolved by scientific contraptions, so they were mostly defenseless critters. On Concepts arts, these Bandicoots are trapped in dangerous areas until Crash freed them. Dingodile would have been a major villain in the game. Part of an unfinished cutscene shows him firing a bunch of bandicoots out of a cannon.

Development

Radical Entertainment secretly began work on the new Crash game in 2009. Development began on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and there were plans for it to be ported to the Wii.

When Activision had decided to lay off the entire development team, the game was cancelled before it had been officially revealed. But some images concepts and videos have been leaked onto the internet. In addition to those leaks, the demo version of the DS version that was developed by Renegade Kid was leaked on to the internet.

Availability

Despite footage of a prototype level of Renegade Kid's Nintendo DS version of the game being leaked to the Internet and was later released online on March 18th, 2024 by Archive.org user Darkaiseur,[2] no finished gameplay footage of Radical Entertainment's version of the game has been released or leaked to the internet.[3][4]
