Status: Partially Lost

The Star Girls were an Australian children's pop band that was formed in 1998 before disbanding in 2007. The group consisted of Cheeky Star (Dianne Regan), Dream Star (Jodie Crombie Brown), Angel Star (Lyndal Vincent) and Smiley Star (Michelle Irsak). They were sometimes joined by Regan's daughter, Jasmine Regan who went by "Twinkle Star". The band wrote two CDs between 2002 and 2005, with the former being nominated for the ARIA Award for Best Children's Album in 2002.

In 2007, Nicktoons Network signed a deal with Big Tent Entertainment to create thirteen music videos for Star Girls songs, running for two minutes animated by Copernicus Studios.

Availability

Twelve out of thirteen music videos have been preserved on YouTube, but the music video "Star Power" remains lost. A frame for "Star Power" appears briefly at the end of the "Girls Like Me" music video on the official YouTube channel from 2016, which proves its existence.

There was initially a website for the animated music videos under the URL www.stargirls.tv, which closed down around mid-2016. Visiting the website via archive.org won't function properly as most of the features become scarce and unresponsive.
