Mischief City is a Canadian animated children's series created by Peter Moss. It is based on the book of the same name by Tim Wynne-Jones.
The series follows eight-year-old Winchell Adams as he travels to the extraordinary world of Mischief City. There, he is accompanied by his friend Maxine and her two monsters Hey Hey and Mr. Cube. Each episode has the gang facing an unusual problem, which is often a direct result of Maxine's troublesome older brother Duane.
Availability
Mischief City first premiered on its home network YTV on January 4, 2005 and seemingly ended that same year.[1] Reruns continued to air until September 2007. After disappearing from Canadian airwaves, the series went into obscurity. As of 2019, only 5 out of the 52 produced episodes have surfaced online. There is also a showreel posted on Youtube by series composer George Guerrette which may contain footage from the lost episodes.[2]
The series has been reported to air on the Latin American feed of Nickelodeon, but evidence has yet to surface online.[3]
