On the website, it states that ''"In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams."'' Further adding to the lore of "This Man" the website states that ''"From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moskow etc."'' On May 6, 2010, it was revealed by io9.gizmodo.com that the website was a hoax and that a movie based on This Man was in production with Bryan Bertino directing and writing the movie. After that announcement, no updates about the movie were made. No actors/actresses were named for the project.
