The Green Hill Zone screenshot seems to match neither the Genesis nor Game Gear versions of the title, implying the game had entirely new level designs and possibly even new levels, similar to the Game Gear version. The title screen depicts Sonic's "American" design as opposed to the Japanese version. The sprite of the character in-game is closer to the Game Gear version, but appears to lack shading. | |||
