What is "Melodramatic"?

"Melodramatic" (shortened "Melo") is a now defunct journal-blog styled website, in whom users had their own journals/blogs in which they could attach images, write about anything and customize their page. The site's shutdown date is unknown but it's speculated that it shutdown in 2017.

During the span of 2002 to 2004, Jeffree Star - a former singer-songwriter, makeup artist & internet personality, hosted a Melodramatic page, which is partially found due to most images being broken image files. The images were usually him showing off his makeup, but in some archived snapshots - self harm could be seen. The poetry part contained graphic details, an example is the poem "Hollywood" which can be found on the August 5th, 2002 snapshot.

On one of the 2004 snapshot contains a photoshoot with the theme of overdose. The photoshoot itself has been almost fully found with 1 image missing.

Conclusion

Most of the images will stay lost to time, due to the shutdown of "Melodramatic" and the broken image links.
