Monster Buster Club (commonly abbreviated as MBC) is an animated TV comedy-action series co-produced by Marathon Media and Image Entertainment Corporation. The show originally premiered on October 29th, 2007, in France on TF1, followed by a subsequent premiere on June 2nd, 2008, on the Jetix channel in Europe. The series follows the escapades of three human pre-teens and their alien companion who are part of the Monster Buster Club, a secretive organization dedicated to combating mischievous aliens that threaten their town.

The Pilot

In 2005 a pilot of "Monster Buster Club" was developed to show the series to TV executives. This pilot episode featured distinct 3D character models and notably lacked the presence of Sam within the team. An intriguing image from this pilot was initially unveiled at the Mipcom event in 2006 by Marathon, offering a glimpse into the series' early development.

On August 4th, 2007, Jean-Louis Vandestoc, the director of the series, revealed in a blog post that a high-definition video of the pilot was accessible on the official Monster Buster Club website. This exclusive content was accessible before the series made its official debut on TF1.[1] Additionally, another image from Marathon's website depicted Cathy's appearance as it was in the pilot version of the show.[2]
