Was the documentary editor's contacted?

I didn't see any documentation/mention if Benjamin or SpaceManiac888 already reached out to the documentary creators and all its editors? Came across a new old article that states: "There WAS more footage recorded & captured by the film crew that went in with the sanitization crew to capture just how disgusting the inside of the building was. Was curious if the documentary's creators, editors or the history channel still had their copy? Or were they sent the original VHS tape???
