Empire Square (or Empire Sq.) is an animated TV series written by comedian Matt Morgan and animated in a "pixelated" style. It originated in the United Kingdom where it is broadcast on Channel 4 late at night on Fridays. From 18 April to 23 May 2006, American music network Fuse TV aired full-length half-hour episodes as opposed to the 2-4-minute ones in the UK.[1][2]

Plot

The plot to Empire Square could be seen as a mix of South Park and a raunchier Ed, Edd n Eddy, as episodes typically center around three kids named Ritchie, Rabbit, and Hooks going about their day while trying to come up with get-rich-quick schemes, occasionally starting bands, and generally getting into trouble.

Availability

Despite its apparent cult following, little footage or info on the show is available, with a promo for the series from Binside TV uploaded back in 2005. Of the half hour episodes that aired on Fuse TV, only one of them is available, it was uploaded by an unknown YouTube user but since had been set to private,[3] though that episode had been reuploaded to places like WatchCartoonsOnline and KissCartoon where it can still be found to this day. A listing for the first series can be found on Amazon.

On October 21st, 2022, YouTuber Goofy Stinky Goblin uploaded all the episodes on his YouTube channel ripping it from the Empire Square DVD, rendering all of the 2-4 minute episodes that aired on Channel 4 found. However, as of 2024, 5 of the full-length half-hour episodes that aired on Fuse TV still remain lost to this day.
