Welcome to The Lost Media Wiki

This wiki is a community passion project where we detail and attempt to track down (at least, in most cases) pieces of lost or hard to find media; whether it be video, audio or otherwise (of either a fictional or non-fictional nature), if it's completely lost or simply inaccessible to the general public, it belongs here.

Breaking off from its original Wikia hosting, the site was moved to its own, independent host (the process of which was initiated in late 2014 and concluded in mid 2015) and has been steadily growing since its humble beginnings. We encourage any and all connoisseurs of obscure media to join in and contribute; the more the merrier. Happy searching!

LMW-TAN // DONATIONS // INTERVIEWS (Added 11 Feb 2016)

What's up guys! dycaite here, back with a quick update this fine February.

You may have noticed a new face popping up around the website over the past few days, in the form of LMW-tan (LM-tan for short), an anthropomorphic personification (or gijinka) of the site, created and illustrated by our own Reynard (aka Gaucelm) and we are happy to say that she has officially become our new mascot! Big thanks to Reynard for these wonderful illustrations; I feel that LMW-tan is really going to bring some more personality and flair to our organisation :) Expect to see more of her around from now on!

The second thing I wanted to mention was donations. Now, I am usually pretty modest when it comes to bringing up the topic of site donations, although to be perfectly frank, the site runs at a monthly loss (and has been even since it was launched in June of last year), funds are pretty tight right now and we could really use all the help we can get. If you can spare even a dollar towards our cause to keep the site accessible and ad-free, it would be greatly appreciated; every little bit helps and we are immensely grateful for any and all donations made. Plus, it'll put a smile on LMW-tan's face ;)

Thirdly, I mentioned in the last notice board post that I had been interviewed by New York Magazine's Abraham Riesman for an article on Christine Chubbuck's suicide tape; said article has since been published at vulture.com, you can check it out here. Speaking of interviews, I've been asked to do another one (this time on the topic of lost media in general), with Sébastien Wesolowski of the French branch of VICE's Motherboard magazine, so I'll let you all know when that goes live too.

That's all for now; cheers guys!
