On August 5th, 2021, horror film podcast No-Budget Nightmares discussed Todd Sheets' 1992 shot-on-video horror film ''Chainsaw Tales'' on Facebook, tagging Sheets himself and asking followers if anyone has seen it[[https://www.facebook.com/groups/NoBudgetNightmares/posts/1940262119474126 x]]. Sheets responded by stating that while copies were made and rented at local video stores, ''Chainsaw Tales'' is completely lost. When asked about ''Kansas City Blender Massacre'', he stated that it faced a similar fate and is, more or less, lost. However, he said that some footage ended up in a cut of his film ''Zombie Rampage'' known as ''The Undead''.

Not very much is known about this movie. While half of the movies that Todd Sheets directed has resurfaced on a limited Blu-Ray[1] release, like Blood of the Undead,[2]Sanguinary Desires, films that aren't credited like Gotta Quarter, Kansas City Blender Massacre, and several others in the filmography have not seen the light of day.
